Ann Marie Productions was put together by Claire (Ann) Rice and Gabrielle (Marie) Gomez with the purpose of producing original work by new playwrights, to foster young emerging directors, and to bridge the gap between the college theatrical experience and the professional world for artists in all fields of theatre.

It's Coming!

Oh I love the theater! The show is coming to that special point where there is no turning around. We can fix and push and prod and redo a little of this and some of that, but really this wagon train is moving and there is no stopping it. I love this part. It's thrilling, exhausting, scary and wonderful. Oh, but I'm so proud of this show.

Our Stage Manager Nick working with the projector before the fund raiser. This is the set as it's being loaded in. So much still to do. Keep checking back to see our progress!

Gabby and Nick fussing with the laptop and projector. "Surly it's going to be this button."

Once More...With Feeling!

Oh fund raising...will you ever be easy? No. You will not. But, with any luck you can be fun.

Saturday and Sunday we had some friends over to the theatre to watch some Halloween movies. For a small donation they got a seat, a drink and some treats. Some of the treats were home made and others...well who can go wrong with Halloween candy? I ask you! Really. No body, that's who.

Attendance was low both nights, but to be honest we had a good time. Getting ready for the events was stressful, but because it was all wrapped up in load in, it wasn't too bad. Plus after load in and cue-to-cue we got to sit back and watch some fun flicks with our friends who helped us out with our theatre endeavors.

I want to thank everyone who came from the bottom of my heart. We had a good time, and we hope you did to.

In The News: BeyondChron Spotlight

Gabby and Megan have been hitting the presses and already their labor is baring fruits.

Buzzn' Lee Hartgrave gave us a warm welcome in to the theatre world with the following:

A WORLD PREMIERE! It’s a story of two women’s volatile exploration of jealousy, anger, and need, set against the backdrop of a hospital waiting room. The show is called “The Horrible In-Between Place.” Buzzin’ always knew that hospital waiting rooms were dangerous. This new Theater Company, Ann Marie Productions (AMP) kicks off its inaugural season this fall. They aim to produce original work by new playwrights and emerging directors. Their first season will work exclusively out of El Teatro de la Esperanza. Previews: Oct. 30 & 31 and you can see it free at the previews. Opens Nov. 1st. Info: www.megan@amp-sf.org.
